Second to Space - Freedom 7

An Orbiter film by Unstung.
On May 5, 1961, Alan B. Shepard became the first American (second man) to space in the Project Mercury. Freedom 7 was a suborbital flight which lasted under 16 minutes, where Alan Shepard traveled 302 miles.
This is a recreation of Shepard's historic flight on his Mercury-Redstone, Freedom 7.

Where can I get the mercury missions

@FalconKPD From the website at the end of the video, Orbit Hangar Mods. Search for the add-on called "Project Mercury". However, it only works with up to Orbiter 060929. You'll also need another add-on called "Earth 1962".

Aside from The Right Stuff, the best Mercury book has to be Scott Carpenter's Spacious Skies, the parts about his astronaut service. Interesting man, good writer. Like Wolfe he talks about the controversy of his Mercury mission. Shepard was one of the "cap com" guys during the flight. Shepard and Carpenter together dissed the boss, Chris Kraft, who always condescended to them.
