The girls watch a slasher-horror film, and Roseanne has been losing sleep, due to what she believes are Darlene's re-occurring nightmares. When the truth is revealed, that the scary movie isn't behind the insomnia, Roseanne learns that Darlene is entering puberty.

I didn't even know I got my period until it went away. My mom and I had talked about it but still. Then I saw this brown stuff in my underwear. I didn't know what it was so I threw the underwear out. When it happened again I told my mom and then a few days later she told me that it was blood. Oh the joys of becoming a woman.

Roseanne was such a great show, I felt more like they were real neighbors of mine, rather than a TV show. I felt like I was a friend of the family....I would even find myself having conversations (mentally) with the characters, throughout my day, about whatever the plot entailed. LOL!
