Why isn't there more teacher-developed digital content? Probably because traditional IWB authoring software is not great at producing eLearning materials. eLearning materials need to be able to be 'information giving' but must also, importantly, contain the opportunity for inclusion of student tasks, differentiation and personalization. Teachers are turning to flash-based content to address this issue. Highly polished professionally produced digital learning flash objects such as the Learning Federation Objects require a high level of skill to create. Some teachers have taken upon themselves to develop flash programming skills and are making some great activities. However; this will rightly only ever be a minority. It's just too technical and time consuming for most. Using RM's new digital content creator, Fuse Creator, Damien will demonstrate how easy it is to create high quality digital learning objects. Tailor your creations to your students' exact needs. Differentiate based on success or pathways chosen by your students. Or better yet, improve your students' creativity and enable them to create their own flash based objects for sharing with their peers. Participants will leave this session with helpful resources, software trials, practical ideas and examples that will allow them to begin creating their own digital content.
