The scariest thing about this is not the ad, its some of the comments of the users. Notice how they are reading? Relying on the media, hearsay, opinions of others who might have their own agenda seems to be what most people do in reality. Imagine climate change does turn out to be a real issue, we all know someone it could affect in the future. Surely then spending a few hours educating yourself has to be well spent? the other option is ignorance, and who fancies explaining that to their kids?

This is the sickest thing I've seen in a long time!

CO2 is plant food!!!! Look out of your window now! all that grass, trees, flowers, bushes even weeds need CO2 to survive! More CO2 = more vegitation. CO2 has nothing to do with climate change.

Climategate - read up on how these eco morons are trying to pull the wool over your eyes.

If it's the "truth" then why do the university wonks have to "hide the decline" by tweaking the data?

Filling impressionable young children's minds with this kind of rubbish, grinding their innate optimism under a crushing pile of worry and fear, should be considered child abuse.

Well done Britain. You're turning your children into climate change Nazis.

Keep an eye on daddy, he might leave the TV on standby and the big monster in the sky will drown the dog. How childish and simplistic.

Not to mention how all this bombardment of propaganda has completely desensitised many to the plight of the polar bear. I would give a shit if I wasn't so pissed off.. but now I couldn't care less.

This isn't a stupid advert. It's the truth, and some people are just too afraid or too arrogrant to admit thats whats really happening in the world. Sure, it's a bit too much for little kids to watch, but surely its a good kick up the bum to realise the damage we're causing and leaving behind to worsen for the little boys and girls like the one in this advert.

Yes, there are better ways - like tuning on the TV and watching the floods in the UK right now, or deaths in the Philippines, India, Australia, etc.

You lot in the UK are just plain stupid and controlled like robots.

Simply the worst kind of preachy advert - quite on a par with the worst of Hollywood's "lay the message on with a trowel" rubbish. It's enough to make the most committed eco-warrior want to go out and buy a dozen patio heaters. 8-)

It's aimed at both, it's shameless emotional blackmail.
