you can't talk about mississippi unless you have lived here.......that is literally the only city in mississippi where they still did that shit. our proms have been integrated for years and we love it. thank you very much....

They are minimal in Mississippi as well. I guarantee you that segregated proms are not commonplace here. I have lived in Jackson, MS my entire life, and I've never heard of such a thing. I hate that they found the one town that is stuck in the 1960's and made a documentary about them... without stressing that this is not the norm. That should have been said.
