Johan Lorbeer tem-se interessado pelo fenómeno da percepção. As suas performances situam-se na fronteira entre a imagem e a representação. O artista desenvolve posições no espaço, que conduzem à surreal alienação de situações da vida quotidiana. Na sua Natureza-morta performance - Tarzan/Standing Leg - o artista encontrou um lugar no espaço, que não é um lugar de descanso usual para seres humanos. O que nós vemos é um homem vulgar, inclinado sobre a parede, relaxado e à espera de algo. A única diferença é que esta pessoa flutua a 2 metros acima do pavimento. Vendo esta situação de representação no real, o público vai formulando as suas interpretações.

its a bar drilled and put into a hole in the wall. thats not his real arm holding onto the wall its a replica. his body is hanging on the bar and his real left arm is hidden inside his clothing. nothing to it. good trick tho.
