Heey thx for the good review on the Sennheiser RS 170. Sinds you own this headset, I would like to ask your opinion about the SURROUND sound Quality. Can you hear the footsteps behind and front of you ? and how about the voice from different directions?

I want to purchase these headset mainly for gaming, sometimes for watching movies and for listening to music.

Go for the RS 170 or the Razer Chimaera 5.1 ? thanks in advance.

@AzNHuDaYFA Sorry for the delay, generally gaming headsets don't have the high quality sound that a Sennheiser has, but the directionality will almost always be better on a gaming headset.

I no longer have the headphones. However any device that has a standard headphone jack should be able to work wireless with the dock. Try amazon and if it doesn't do what you want it to do. I return it!

@Psylacus Have you ever done a review on the SteelSeries Siberia v2's?

id like to see one on those :) especially one that the person tests if the 7.1 soundcard makes a difference and how it works xD

i have these i have wireless mouses,keyboards, routers, laptops and a big microwave, they cause no interference at all with the sound, it is crystal clear and very loud, it doesn't have the best range but it's pretty decent, i able to walk in my whole house with them with zero issues.

hOwever the300 price as of today is way too much, i got them For just 170 on a amazon deal otherwise I wouldn't get them, i'm sure they are the best wireless headphones you will find but 300 usd it's just crazy

The sound doest cut out. Its the energy saver attentuator on the back. Flip the switch. Its a shame they included that feature because its causing bad reviews here and there. Read the manual!! Holy shit....

@Psylacus Does the Diablo 3 come with the 7.1 USB Sound Card that the Siberia v2 USB edition has? i did not hear it in the diablo vid u have but i really want to know cause i was looking to get v2's. And was wondering if you know how the soundcard makes the stereo headset go to 7.1??

continued.... and it talks about portable music mp3 player, mobile phone. But I really want a confirmation that I can listen wirelessly with a laptop as a source and an iphone and ipad too whilst I am here, wirelessly being the operative word here... I would be grateful for an answer. Thanks

Hi can you confirm something for me please. I looked at the Sennheiser website and read the spec and read the user manual but I can't see anything truly written in black on white which says, that a laptop can be a valid music source (radio streaming from it, or iTunes playing) . It always talks about TC/DVD + hi-fi. In the manual on page 10 it says "chose a suitable palce near your sound source (e.g. TV, stereo home cinema system), then on page 13 it explaines about the ATTENUATOR switch ....
