Well the war would have probably started anyway even if Belcoot had won a match.
Godwins had everithing planed perfectly... and they were prepeared for anything from the begining of the Sacred Games. Only good part would be that by that time Goodwins would be forced to openly attack royal family in which case they would probably lose at the verry begining of open war.

Yea I have to agree with you there. If Belcoot had won, the Godwins would have attacked the royal family openly. But with nethergate I'm not sure who would have survived the war, they are ruthless and are actually pretty good.
