Operating system deployment to a bare metal unknown computer using PXE and SCCM, if computer identity is unknown a prompt will appear for this information.
Customized task sequence is used to evaluate machine type and install Hyper-V drivers and Integration Services only on to Hyper-V virtual machines.

You can either deploy to unknown computers or import the unknown computer into SCCM.

so is this mean if i've got new "computer" not recorded in AD , and i've created task sequence media , so can i deploy os on this new computer ?
i've tried many ways but it says "No task sequence available for this computer"
if it exist then i have to put it in osd collection then its works , but if its new computer ???! is there's any way to deploy ?

Hi sufibee,
If you are using SCCM R2 you dont necessarily need a script anymore you can go into the collection variables tab and create osdcomputername with a blank value.
You will then be prompted to name an unknown computer.
If you search for the following on technet forum it will have all the info:
"SCCM R2 Unknown Computer Support and changing computer name during Task Sequence"
Will post script if you still need it.
