If we were together it would have decreased the influence of Mullahs greatly and made Sikhs a much stronger and progressive force. In India you don't even make 5% of the population and are in reality worthless.

And you do fight over ethnic identity. To name a few issues, the Telangana issue, the north india and south india divide, the deccan racial identity issue (Nizam), Assam issue & Shiv Sena's issue with non maharashtrans. Only thing is there is less politically motivated violence.

@bikramgill07 India has a much larger issue with religious violence and inter religious strife. And who ever heard of the Shiv sena saying maharashta is only for maharashtrans. In fact non locals have even been beaten and attacked in the past.

I don't know where you got the foodgrain information from but Punjab is suffering a dicrease in diversity of crops and several issues that are affecting it.

@yhamza12 Thats noticable here too. It goes both ways. How often does our government promote the samadhi of ranjit singh as a place to visit in lahore? Even though Lahore very well is the birthplace of Sikhism. Many Sikh places to visit. In the same way as you said Indian's promote hindu monuments more. Infact even the children are taught the Hindu version of history. I know because of my cousins there. What we learn in history is entirely different.

U'll find that people back there welcome you. This India Pakistani thing starts and ends on online forums. In public they probably act like little angels. If we went with Pakistan instead of India then we would have suffered atleast hundred times more like the Christians and Hindus are suffering right now. Just compare Indian Punjab and your Punjab. Our Punjab is atleast three times smaller than the Pakistani punjab but we still produce double the foodgrains. The world is progressing but you are still stuck with your medieval mullahs and burqas!
