@spark001uk yeah u would soon be fucking moaning mate if all of us stopped near a crossing and phoned the fucking rail company!!! u knob........its just all about common sense clearly this driver didnt have any .....if you know your going to take a while to cross then yeah call.......he crossed when lights were on etc etc
-
@amfwelsh Actually yes you do, Call Network Rail and ask... Thicko ¬¬
-
@XxMCR999MCRxX on an open crossing yes not a barrier crossing .........jesus your not really that thick are you ........if i were driving a heavy low loader for example then maybe i would
-
@amfwelsh I'd hate to be on a road when you're driving, you do have to stop and phone...
-
@spark001uk well in this case u dont have to call ahead for clearance to cross as its a barrier crossing.. i cross loads of these in my hgv and the non barrier ones i call first, this case looks like he just didnt want to wait , hence smashed barrier on other side of road

Well done for having the clarity of mind to film the scene of this terrible accident from the inside. As already mentioned, this video clearly shows that the crossing lights were indeed flashing despite the lorry driver stating otherwise....Excelklent work....Bob

@spark001uk Does that truck come under the definition of 'large' as specified?

The lights weren't working eh ? Well they look like they working just fine in the video ! And it seems rather strange that the far side barrier has been smashed off. But hey it doen't matter though cos there were no fatalities...50 quid fine and thee ponits on his license should teach him ! I've got an idea, lets try and find a way of blaming the train driver while we're at it too !

You guys were so lucky... thank god.
Thanks Paula ...

Driver was arrested and released on bail... he said 'lights weren't working'
I was able to get pictures as my wife needed to get off the train because she went into shock and was given oxygen by the Paramedics who were great... thank god for the NHS..
