I don't think there was any need for the cop to shoot the dog. I have a license to carry firearms and I have been in a situation where a dog came out of nowhere and jumped on my dog. While it did startle me, I did NOT draw my pistol because I could see that the dogs were not going to kill each other. So if a normal civilian like me can exercise restraint with a gun, the cop should too.

ok all of you guys didnt hear the full story. the cop tryed to stop the dog from harming his dog, thats when the Huskie turned on him. while the owner of the Huskie didnt do shit to stop it in the first place. COME ON PEOPLE anyone can tell when dogs are playing and cops know the lew, there not trained to shoot first. Something had went wrong for that guy to shoot the dog.Thats why they didnt charge him. Im know he didnt go to the park with the mindset of killing the first Huskie he saw.

the cop is an absolute arrogant trigger-happy pussy. I own 3 dogs that get rough and actually gang up on other dogs at the park; a fair few confrontations have taught me exactly how to restrain a 90lb dog. Use of a firearm is the absolute last course of action. Nothing short of this guy losing his job is acceptable, he doesn't deserve the honor of saying he's a cop. To protect and serve, not shoot of your gat in public for no reason at all.

First off, the rules of the dog park are posted in many pictures of the RULES OF THE PARK signs that are all over facebook. Since you cannot read, when your mother gets done with her job on the corner, see if she can read it for you.
