PTNs Bank Notes Series, by Petronio Bendito. This kinetic bank note in the series is a computer rendered animation that changes its value at a rate of 30 frames per second. Here Rodin's "Thinker" and the Guggenheim Museum -- NYC are morphed together for their are icons of the franchising state of the art work and cultural institutions.

The PTN bank notes series is based on mathematical "art formulas" created to establish a subjective exchange rate and price of the artwork. Exchange rate formulas take into account statistical and factual data based on social, political, and cultural phenomena. The series encompasses both printed and digital bank notes. Works of art that were stylized for this series carry strong commodification associations.
