The Third Age began after the first downfall of Sauron, when he was defeated by the Last Alliance of Elves and Men following the downfall of Númenor.

The only thing despise in this game are some of the enemies i.e The balrog on the first play(without aura of the valaar,god what a pain) Helm's deep without Gimli,Legolas and Aragorn :S,Osgiliath when you met Gothmog for the second time. the mumaks in the Pelennor fields,and the Witch King when you fight alongside Eowyn.Still,a perfect turn based game ^^

@bluecold60 it's from the point of view of some side characters in the movie, you do play as the main people too but the story shows unseen events that weren't in the movie.
