1) Why I use the name Jesus

Colossians 3:17 -- And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Zechariah 14:9 -- And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name ONE.(not three-in-one)

Acts 2:38 -- Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 8:16 -- For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS

Acts 10:48 -- And he commanded them to be baptized IN THE NAME OF THE LORD.(as Christians, their professed "lord" was Jesus) Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Acts 19:5 -- When they heard this, they were baptized IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS.

Matthew 1:21 -- And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Luke 24:47 -- And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached IN HIS NAME among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, CALLING ON THE NAME OF THE LORD.

Matthew 7:22 (Jesus, their Lord speaking, knew they would be using his singular name) Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy IN YOUR NAME, and IN YOUR NAME drive out demons and perform many miracles?'

A word concerning the word "LORD"; the tetragrammaton "YHWH"/"LORD" used by the Jews in the old testament hebrew/aramaic was not converted into the new testament Greek. However the spoken language of the people carried its usage and meaning into the New Testament time period. So, when the apostles called Jesus "Lord", they had the underlying intention of calling Jesus YHWH. Showing that Jesus was God, just as they had witnessed in the past, not as a second person in the Godhead. The Jews believed and still do believe to this day, in oneness.

Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them IN THE NAME(singular name) of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

John 5:43 -- I am come in my Father's name(Jesus speaking; The Fathers name is Jesus), and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

John 14:26 -- But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name (Jesus was talking; The Holy Ghost's name is Jesus), he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Revelation 22:3-4
3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the LAMB shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4And they shall see his face; and HIS NAME shall be in their foreheads.
(John 1:29; "Jesus" is the name of the lamb)

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; IN MY NAME(Jesus was talking here)shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
(the division of speech is made in English only, not in the Greek text...so the scripture could read "And these signs shall follow them that believe in my name...")

Acts 4:10&12
10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.
12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for THERE IS NO OTHER NAME(Jesus; singular) under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

1 Corinthians 1:12-17
The use of a single name over baptism was well known and accepted to the first century church, which allowed Paul, in this corrective letter to the Corinth, to substitute another singular name to make his point. They all knew that they were baptized in the name of Jesus. This made way for Paul's push toward the common belief in verse 12-17.
