Gail Carriger explains why proper etiquette plays such an important role in her Victorian vampire hunter novel, SOULLESS (which has one of the most wickedl cool 1st chapters I've read in ages).
i cracked up as i read this. its about damn time someone writes a book like this! the ridiculously high standards of etiquette in every situation is just wonderful.
I'm reading the first one now - Soulless. It's really, really good, very funny and engaging too. I have pretty high standards too; I've been spoiled by George R.R. Martin and Patrick Rothfuss.

Finally, the writer in all her glory. Looking forward to the second book. No pressure.

Haha, that was funny. I'm planning on reading her books. Hope they're as good as they sound.
