  • Guru is a tutor, mentor, guide, a sage person and a lot more than that. (ji is the respected addressing suffix). In Indian philosophy guru is the visual god to a disciple. Through him all those ancient knowledge is passed to his disciple.

  • Hello jazzcat,

The actual translations from bangla is not possible, the sweetness is lost.

    But it means ....

The flowers blossom by own pleasure

    Through whose gesture

    By whose care and breeze

    They spread love .

  • he keeps repeating "Phuuutaay Phuuul Aaapon Shoookhaaay" meaning "Blooms the flower in its own peace"....

  • Beautiful thank you, dont mind my ignorance but what is a guruji?

  • What do the words mean ?

  • Thank you for the info. I know Nitin Sawhney doesnt speak bengali but I didnt know that the music was done by your guruji.

  • This Bengali Song (Album: Displacing The Priest) is written, composed and sung by my guruji Pandit Jayanta Bose.

I repeat this is written by Jayanta Bose and it is his voice you are listening. Nitin Sawhney doesn't speaks Bengali.
