I have the same unit, same color too! What is the make and model of the tripod? I like your house furnishings.

Aren't the M10 internal mics supposed to be better than the ECMDS70P ? (I have it, the specs say it doesn't record below 100Hz, not very suitable to record music...)

Thanks for the demo. Where did you get that plug in external mic from?

i have used this mic in this type of setting and when i bring it into post to tweak it you can add a little eq in that range without having it get muddy. and also have had adverse outcomes. so it's not solely about the specs. you can use the low end roll in the recorder or on a mic if it has one but again based on the conditions that may or may not work to get a recording that is useful.

some mics that have lower frequency response may produce a muddy low end that cannot be cleaned up in post. because as you try to take away that muddiness you will loose low end.

idio, dont get to caught up on the specs. the purpose was to show what the mic sounds like using this device. there are mics that cover a fuller spectrum (20hz -20000 hz) however it's about the right tool for what your trying to accomplish. example you may not want to use a mic that goes down to 20hz when recording a live concert (stealth) in a large venue. based on the size of the venue and your distance and height from the audio source.
