@Patrickf1916 maybe. Diaspora sounds better than wild geese. I have an Irish Surname - my father was born in Glasgow and has no Scottish blood - whats my nationality then? And Connolly's growing up in the slums of Edinburgh in an Irish ghetto was the major factor for his ethics, & was a great friend of clydeside socialist john maclaine [sic]. and to 505guys, yes more money for the cause came from Scotland than America. If you know anything about the Republican movement you wouldnt call me crazy.

@Patrickf1916 a chara, Scots have done Ireland wrong bt that was a part of history when Scots were licking England's arse - lots still do. Some Scots forget we're part of the same tribe! But the support of Scots since 1916 has been fantastic. Branches of Sinn Fein and Fianna in Glasgow, the man who hoisted the flag over the GPO was from Scotland, outside the GPO when Pearse read was a Glasgow Cumman Na Bhan, most of the money for the campaign was from Scotland &, of couse, so was James Connolly.

@The505Guys OK, for everyone questioning the Scotland flag on there here it is. Althought the band playing is the Stabane MFB, the Pic of the Provie and surro9unding flags is from the old Bass drum from the Vol.. Billy Reid RFB from Parkhead, the 2nd band to come from Scotland, the first being the James Connolly RFB which was the first Republican Flute Band both here and Ireland. I dunno why the problem - Scotland is where the money came from: donating more in 2 months than NORAID did in a year.

The Irish and Ireland were called the scotti/scotland before the Irish went over to ''pictland'' and created the dal riata kingdom and created the modern day scots. The scottish also had the identical native tounge as the irish until the 16th when bits of it slightly changed. The scottish and irish are two clans of the same people.
