We had way worse than that in Rantoul on Chanute AFB in the late 80's. It's still sucks when ice hits. I can't remember the year it happened when we were there but it had to be between 85 and 90, likely 87, 88 or 89.

i'm still a little surprised that this ice storm compares nothing to what we got recently across the midwest just on thursday night into friday morning. 12/18 to 12/19

Looks bad, but this is nothing compared to the ice storm we just had in New England (Dec 2008).

my town collinsville illinois worst hit with 90% of our town had no power for 10 days. the ice was over 2 1/2 inches thick with 3 inches of snow(i am 5 minutes st. louis)
