was wondering why not make a profile of the glass, and alt r (spin). Then just add subsurface and solidify? And if needed, close up the areas left open (like where the stem meets the bottom of the part the wine goes into?) with extrude, also you can explain edge crease and ways of getting shape without adding verts and edges. Its not that i disagree with this method, it made a very nice looking glass. And your tut is very nice, very informative, and overall is very good.

@zelozelos100 haha no worries, I actually did it like this so beginners to blender would be able to use the extrude tool and be able to select edge loops as well as edge rings and basically getting used to the basic functions in blender
