My Macbook Pro doesn't do that. Thanks for vid. I live in Raleigh and have never been to the Apple Store at Crabtree, but plan to go soon. Unfortunately you find unprofessional people in all areas of life. Smart to get it on camera.

Dude all the macbook pros do that. You should have looked at it closely before you bought it. Thats why I got a Macbook.;)

The reason for the Macbook Pro lids being bent may have to do with the fact that the hinge is spring-loaded and the latches are on the center.
When the lid is closed, pressure from the spring tries to open the lid but the latches on the center hold it close. So, the pressure from the lid acts on the sides, which aren't latched, so they eventually warp from the pressure.
Putting latches on the sides and middle or switching to magnetic closures may help.
