hello sir,
i m Rushikesh from india, i have great interest in robotics. i have made a line followr using 2 ir sensors. now after seeing your video of steves twisted bot (pardon if the name is wrong) . i have decided to make a bot like the one in the video. i have: 2 150 rpm dc, 1 servo motor, atmega8, l293d motr drivr, 5 IR board( in one line ) please help me with this . also the thing is that i have promised my teacher to make it before new year :-) so you can understand .
Thankyou

The turns are so smooth at tha speed, very nice indeed:)

Thanks. It's actually Steve Hassenplug's robot, and can break the 1 m/s benchmark... but yes, I think i took a very nice video of it ;-).

This is jus unbelievable........very nice.

please sir can u teach me the program or algorithm

Well, 1st, it's not my robot. 2nd, the control program will depend on how you build the robot (Twisted uses three motors, one for steering and a left and right drive motor, and actively controls power to all of them). 3rd, it's a little difficult to just "teach" you... how much line following have you done? What techniques have worked for you in the past, and why?

i have done basic 5 sensor and 3 sensor line following for right angles no PID

What type of robot? Steering? Tricycle drive? Skid-steer? How far out in front are the sensors? Are they in a line, or a V? Etc.
The robot you see actually has no PID, and only uses three sensors. Based on the returns from those three sensors, it selects how "hard" to turn, which required a lot of careful thinking on Steve Hassenplug's part, and a whole lot of testing. It also won't work on right angles or sharper corners... so what technique you use also depends on the track you try to follow.

Thank you - although it's not actually my robot, I'll take credit for the video of it :)
