@OccupationFront They gave us a constitutional republic and because our constitution was written to include the people in governing it was significantly different from any other republic before where an elite where chosen to make the decisions dictating the country and its citizens. Either way you cut it there is nothing democratic about our two party dictatorship

@OccupationFront sorry but you are wrong here. By definition a republic is a political unit governed by a charter, while a democracy is a government whose prevailing force is always that of the majority. The founding fathers knew this and thereafter wrote a constitution which allowed the people to participate in governing the affairs of their country directly. A strait democracy is majority rule period. It can be likened to two wolves and a rabbit deciding on whats for dinner.
