Catholic Church Facilitates Foreign Invasion
Russell traces the churchs involvement in the entry of illegal aliens into the U.S. to the Marxist-oriented liberation theology movement, also known as social justice. Russell particularly faults Jesuit Catholic institutions such as Georgetown University for adopting this approach and indoctrinating students to be in favor of liberalized immigration policies.

Are you missing half the story about the last days?
Most of the discussion of the end times focuses on the coming Antichrist - but he is only half the story. Many are amazed to discover in Revelation 17 that there is also another mysterious character at the heart of prophecy - a woman who rides the beast. Who is the woman? Tradition says she is connected with the church of Rome. But isn't such a view outdated? After all, today's Vatican is eager to join hands with evangelicals [unchanging Rome has changed again] and all religions worldwide. "The Catholic church has changed." is what we hear. Or has it? In "A Woman Rides the Beast", biblical truth and global events present a well - defined portrait of the woman and her powerful place in the Antichrist's future empire. At least ten remarkable clues in Revelation 17 and 18 prove the woman's identity beyond any reasonable doubt. The Berean Call PO Box 7019 Bend OR 97708-7019

  • @MrJhb211 As a postscript to my previous submission, has there EVER been a time in the history of the Church in which the Eucharist was NOT celebrated?...in which the real PHYSICAL presence of Christ in the Eucharist was NOT acknowledged or the sacrificial nature of the act itself was NOT UPHELD? WOW! Looks like God,once again, knows how to keep His word!! WHY NOT? He's the Rock of our salvation!

  • @kenrich777 Do u use a different Bible from the rest of us? 1Cor14 makes it clear that by baptism we are baptised into Christ-we become organically one with Him. 2Cor 5v17-"if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature..." Baptism is not a rite of passge but an act of God where He grafts us into Christ. In the Eucharist we partake of Our Lord's body & blood-"This is my body given for you, eat this in remembrance of me" Lk 22v19. In the light of Jn 6v35 how do u come to yr conclusion?

  • @kenrich777 Again you either miss the point or twist it ( I am not sure which is worse). In an Orthodox service 75% comes straight out of the BIble, our Church Year mirrors the events in the BIble, so clearly the Scriptures are central to the Orthodox Faith. The problem is how Protestants interpret Scripture-thye use their rational minds, the OC leaves it up to the Holy Spirit inspired Tradition (2Thess2v 15, 3v6)

  • The romans, both pagan and papal attacked Gods' temple. Pagan rome destroyed the jerusalem temple, Papal rome removed Christ from his seat as mediator, " CASTING THE TRUTH TO THE GROUND" (daniel 8:12)...to which a priesthood of man, mary and the roman catholic church stands between GOD and people ..as the way to heaven..instead of the TRUTH..in which salvation is found..JESUS: "I am the way, the truth and the life..no one comes unto the FATHER but by ME".

  • In context, the tradition Irenaeus refers to is identical to that taught in Scripture, not something different. Catholic apologists try to take him out of context, to refer to some separate body of oral tradition - not so.

Cyprian, Origen, Hippolytus, Athanasius, Firmilian, and Augustine, Tertullian, Irenaeus, Cyril and Gregory of Nyssa all held to the principle of Sola Scriptura, Reformers simply restored the patristic view.

  • @Paul020253 No one is saying avoid the breaking of bread or baptism should not be practiced, but that they are symbolic, and have no merit in themselves for salvation.

They only point to the relationship with Christ, who is our salvation.

In the OC and RCC the seven sacraments are claimed to be necessary and to have merit in themselves, a system of false works. Rituals that evolved beyond the original intent, replacing the personal relationship they were supposed to point to.

  • @MrJhb211 St Irenaeus ALSO refers to those who disregard the "Rule of Faith" handed down by the Apostles to the various churches which they built up and organized AND where the succession of bishops is to be found as "THIEVES AND ROBBERS" St Irenaeus CLEARLY sees a bond between Scripture AND Tradition. He witnesses to the fact that the heretics of his day rejected BOTH ! Like everything else pertaining to the Divine purpose THAT VERY OFFICE of bishop has a CONSTANT PRESENCE UNTIL THIS DAY!

  • It suffices for any HONEST SOUL,having read the 2nd 3rd and 4th chapters of Book III of St Irenaus' great work, "Against Heresies" to clearly perceive the marriage BY GOD of the pre-eminent authority of the Gospels handed down to us WITH the succession of bishops in those churches founded by the Apostles LIKEWISE PERSERVED.The truth is not to be found outside the Catholic Church, being the "field" in which God has placed the treasure of the faith. Heresies CAN NOT BE TRACED BACK TO THE APOSTLES!

  • @Paul020253 As I said, if you don't like him, pick another, there was broad consensus on the role of scripture among the apostolic Fathers.

    Irenaeus, Against Heresies, Book III.

"... the Gospel has come down to us, which they did at one time proclaim in public, and, at a later period, by the will of God, handed down to us in the Scriptures, to be the ground and pillar of our faith." WHY ARE YOU STILL POSTING TO ME?

  • @kenrich777 it was also the century that the NT as we know it was finally defined=the Paschal Letter of Bp Athanasius of Alexandria 367ad and the Council of Carthage 390ad. A theological interesting century certainly, not sure where the corruption is though.

  • @kenrich777 The 4th century was a time of great theological debate. The Arians (an early form of JWs) tried to take over the Church but under Athanasius Trintarian Christology became the Christian norm. It was also the century of the 1st 2 Ecumenical Councils-recognised by Christians from all sides-RCC, Protestant, Orthodox. The 4th cent. produced the Nicene Creed probbaly the greatest Trinitarian statement ever and confessed every Sunday to this day by 95% of Christians to this day
