well i figured this time around i would highlight 1 of my modern toys!
i always liked this album and this song.even though its not the original artist(RAMSEY LEWIS).i think it sounds very close.BILL JUSTIS always did great albums. i always loved the sound of the people at the party and the cool 1960's
album graphics.this is played on my TECHNICS sl1200 left over from my dj days. the sound is recorded with a grado cartridge directly to the soundcard via a usb preamp, which is the best and easiest way to record your vinyl to digital.if interested its an ARTCESSORIES USB PHONO PLUS that i got on amazon.

  • i think it should be fine.the only thing that went wrong

with this is the light burned out about 5 years ago.

they arent really user replaceable though.since im not

spinning in the dark i figured the hell with it and left it be. i dont think the 1300 has a cue light does it?the wow and flutter on these things are almost nothing.cant wait to see the video of it.

  • let us hear it when you get it. did you get a 1200 too?

god ive had this about 25 years.i had 2 when i was a mobile dj but sold one. theses damn things are so heavy but work like horses! i never liked audio technica cartridges at all. sure and pickering were good but i was bored and tried the grado.like you say it is nice and mellow. everyones ears are different though so its tough to go by reviews.

  • not any hum that i can notice? i dont have a really expensive grado though.i think its a black if i remember

right? it was about 60 bucks. i think its a decent "cheap"

cartridge. the preamp i use is great too.
