The turn signal dosent permit you to change line whenever you like. First you turn the signal, then look at mirrors and then if there is no one around you make the maneuver.

Doesn't matter if he was lane splitting or not...drivers cut us off all the time. Thats why I hate riding in heavy traffic you have no way out once a vehicle starts to creep into your lane and all you have is a second to either slow down and hope not to get rear ended or speed up in front of him. Don't even bother changing lanes because in heavy traffic you don't have time to check your mirrors and look with your head at your blind spot.

All lane splitting means is it's a "legal" loophole that allows you to pass on the right side of a vehicle(s), which is Illegal and never a good idea. I agree that if you are going to lane split through congested traffic, you shouldn't rapidly accelerate. Riders' fault.

lane splitting is legal/illegal depending on the country you're in.

this is very painfull to see, the car driver could easily see him, he just didnt bother to look, thats what happens when your brain is on cruise control, you turn the indicator signal and assume you've given yourself the permission to change lane. WRONG.

Lane splitting in California is legal up to 30 mph! They say the trade off is that it's a helmet law state. Either way, bike weather safe or not was legal

If you ride a motorcycle, No matter what else anybody else is doing, you have got to be safe on that bike. Because it's you who is riding, and you are responsble for yourself, You know other people are mostly safe but, for the most part 80% of people don't give a damm!
