Glenn Beck: The Proposition 8 Arguments

Glenn, when did the constitution, as originally written, strictly define marriage? There's much I agree with Beck on, but if he's going to consider himself a promoter of liberty, he should've opposed Prop 8. The right tries to do a good job with economic policies, but do a good job trying to shoot themselves in the foot saying only certain people can get married, which right now should be less of their focus.

For democracy to work, people have to have common sense. When the majority tramples the rights of others, it doesn't mean its ok or the best policy just because its the will of the people. Its just sad that democracy can be that dysfunctional and that people can be that ignorant.

all I can say is y was the constitiution changed with the issue of inter racial marriage?!
Most people didnt believe in inter racial marriage and I am SURE AS HELL that most people disagreed with the idea of inter racial marriage!
therefore y was it passed in the courts, as a result amending the constitiution to allow inter racial marriage?
