Yeah, i didn't think her memory was too great so i was hoping she would forget about them after time, and she seems to be doing a little better now. I figured once the babies were big enough to be seen and not eatin i will put the mommy and daddy back until possible aggresion is shown. Thanx for the input, i'm sure they'll be havin more babies, so for the next batch i'll leave them in and see how it goes. Thanx so much for your help!!!

how can you actually tell the sex of them??? its very hard for me to tell if its a male or female...i have two that i bought the pet store didnt know if it was a male or female so i just got two and i know they pair up but i just want to know how can you tell..

@TonyYaajETC There is no visable difference until they start to breed when you can see female with round "tear-drop" shaped breeding tube and a male has a cone shaped breeding tube. If they are not breeding yet, you can guess based on both of their behavior and physical atributes. Physically, female tends to have rounder body while male tends to have more pointed fins. Behavior wise, male tends to be more territorial even when they are not yet breeding. Both are very territorial during breeding

Just had baby angel fish hatch recently, i transfered mom and dad to a new tank. mother is going crazy. would it be ok if i put her back?

I would not put her back once you took her out. She could put babies in her mouth to protect them, then accidentally swallowed them during panic. She would calm down after a few days by herself. I separated mine after 6 months, the parents were depressed for a few days. I also don't know how one parent alone does with babies. My pair cooperated really well to take care of babies.
