This is a perfect parallel of the general public's view of music for the last 20 years or so. Trailer-park-trash country, alternative crap-rock, non-human-computer-techno and rap/hip-hop are all just like the cymbal guy to anybody that really knows and appreciates music. But hell, we're all having a blast while Rome burns huh?

I thought that was hillarious! Very funny.

The objective of the worship team is to draw people into God's presence. Yes it is all beautiful to God, but there comes a point where if you're just not technically good, you can actually be a distraction to those trying to worship the Lord, even if your heart is in the right place.

"true worshipers" regardless of how good or bad they are as musicians, don't care if they are worshiping up on stage or on the very back row of the church. True worship is making yourself low, not seen

lol.. why are people on here debating about worship? This video was obviously meant for laughter, and I thought it was hilarious! They arent trying to exclude anyone from leading worship, but then again EVERYONE cant just run up on stage with their instruments and play. I'm in a worship band myself and have this issue all the time, its just not how it works. Sorry. Those who just really want to be on stage often just want to be up in front of people, and thats not what leading worship is about.

Psalm 137:8-9 (King James Version) (OR. . . . . A SMASHING GOOD TIME) 8. O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. 9. HAPPY SHALL HE BE, THAT TAKETH AND DASHETH THY LITTLE ONES AGAINST THE STONES.

I'm not sure if Steve's hair is a gift from God. I am waiting on the squirrels who are hiding in there to come out.

@jonxjet i know that. obviously in the end everything comes from God as a gift, but i was saying that not only certain divine people should have the chance to worship.
There's no such thing as a wannabe worshiper. if they want to worship, shouldn't they be allowed to? plus, before i started playing guitar, i had absolutely no musical talent. it wasn't some gift i was born with. i learned how to play, and i learned how to sing well, all over time. explain that.

This is true to an extent. in order to draw people in, the music should be good to our ears. However, in God's ears, anything that is true to heart is a beautiful song. People in the church just need to learn how to say "We don't really need you in this department, but we might need help in THIS one." instead of acting like they're on some sort of pedestal over everyone else.
