I use a small grant to collect the runnings from the mash, and then ladle those runnings into the kettle. Here I've collected about 6 gallons of sweet wort, and started the flame.

  • @wml4928790 I did not weld those fittings myself. I had the welding done by a local brewery equipment fabricator. I supplied the keg and bought from him the stainless bulkhead fitting and ball valve, he cut the hole with a plasma cutter and welded it for me. After parts and labor, i believe it was around 50-100 bucks. Dont quote me, i just remember it wasnt all that expensive. Much cheaper than buying a 15 gallon pre-manufactured stainless brewkettle with dump valve (which run 300-500$ easily)

  • I noticed you have welded bulk head fittings... Did you weld those in yourself or have it done? If you had it done, can I ask how much it cost you? Thanks!
