Hehe, what a crappy promotion video. Quite ironic to see the Amiga crew sitting around a table planning great ideas because that was the only thing they managed to ever produce - great ideas but no products. Jim Collas was still a great leader. A real shame that his visions were not supported by their parent company
They were going to blow it with that Xbox looking thing just like Commodore tried to muck up the first Amiga by making it difficult to upgrade and add on to.
It is a shame that it didn't take off. I was so excited when Gateway bought the Amiga. At least we can see the Amiga under emulation. Here's a handheld running Workbench:
Shame it never took of again. Guess thats what happens when the money dries up. Sure would have bought the new one if they got it past the mockup stage. Still have all my amiga games here, and only just sold my amiga last year. Used it daily before then.
The "new" Gateway amiga computer sure looks like an Xbox! Too bad Gateway never patented the "look" of that New Amiga in this video as they would have a major case against Micro$oft...
being a hue Amiga fan and user today, this is the first time i actually saw this promotion vid.
Posters and music etc i knew of ofcourse.
