As quoted by Grandmaster Yang Zhenduo
Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan comes from the era of Grandmaster Yang LuChan, his sons Yang Banhou and Yang Jianhou and his grandsons Yang Shohou and Yang Chengfu. These 3 generations yearned for the ideal of having Tai Chi Chuan serve mankind.
For centuries, the Yang Family has followed the path created for them by past generations and they continue to inspire thousands of people with their art form.
It is with our deepest respect and admiration that we honor the Yang Family members who, to this day, continue to dedicate their lives to serve mankind
The International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association was established in Seattle, WA with the mission: To carry-on and develop the superb technique of Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan, promote the spreading and improving of Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan, improve peoples health, develop the interaction between peoples of all countries, and contribute to the advancement of martial arts in the world
Throughout the years, Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan continues to grow in popularity. Reaching across the globe to places such as Switzerland, North America, Italy, Brazil, just to mention a few.
Within the past ten years, we have grown from 3 centers to 30 and from 2 countries to 12! In 2004 we created the Certified Instructor Program and since January 2005 we now have a total of 30 Certified Instructors in 7 countries!
Many thousand of lives have been touched and enriched by the Yang Family as well as their disciples, Center Directors, Certified Instructors and Association Members.
For six generations, the Yang Family continues to serve mankind and mankind continues to embrace and benefit from them. The superb teaching, the generosity of spirit, and the deep affection shown to everyone they meet far exceeds their dream.
As members of the International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association, we are proud to be part of a global movement to help the Yang Family realize their dream to serve mankind and to continue to share our deep love for Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan!
In 2006, we lost a valuable member of our family and his presence has been sorely missed. The International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to Jeremy Blodgett.
Jeremy was instrumental in relocating Master Yang Jun and Fang Hong from China to Seattle. He scheduled and coordinated their first Open House and Demonstration where Master Yang Zhenduo, Master Yang Jun and their Center Directors displayed the Traditional Yang Family Forms for many visitors and spectators. This was Seattles first official introduction to the Yang Family.
Through Jeremys unselfish efforts, Yang Chengfu Tai Chi Chuan Center opened and continues to grow. We are all eternally grateful to Jeremy for all he gave to the Yang Family in helping to make the International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association successful.
I hear a news, say jeremy is dead, I want to know is it true??
