The news media ALWAYS loves to spin it as the challenge to the cross being that "a resident was *offended* by the cross", rather than explaining that the GOVERNMENT erecting or displaying a christian cross (or other religious icons) on GOVERNMENT property is GOVERNMENT stealing the rights from the people... it is GOVERNMENT imposing religious preference on its citizens.

GOVERNMENT should NOT meddle in the religion business (both gov't and religion are each messed up enough on their own!).

You do believe that, but what about the people who don't. A lot of Christians are extremely selfish. I'm not saying that every christian is selfish but it is very common

Christian Privilege and Christian Persecution Complex both at work here. They have every right to march, every right to put crosses on their lawns but they don't have the right to put a cross on the water tower if it is own publicly.
