An interesting talk on the evolutionary precursors of morality, mirror neurons and more.

Taken from Beyond Belief 2008.

  • Hi Riversonthemoon.... I am relly greateful for this vid. I am wanting to site a bit of it in a dissertation and need to say where the lecture was given. Do you know? Would be happy if you can help! thanks!

  • @devavoce1

Sure. The talk was at the Beyond Belief: Candles in the Dark conference on October 4th, 2008 at the Salk Institute, La Jolla, California, presented by The Science Network. There is a link in the description box. Scroll down a little, click on the 'About' tab and you can download a program for the event there. You might also enjoy checking out some of the other speakers at the conference. Their talks are available there, too.

Good luck with your dissertation! :-)

  • Thanks for this - I especially liked the connection made between imitation and empathy.

  • Glad you liked it.
