So certain was Berry Gordy of this recording becoming a hit that his only comment when he first heard the playback was "chip it", which in his parlance meant put it on vinyl. Celebrating 50 Years of Motown this is Marvin Gaye in duet with Tammi Terrell on "Your Precious Love", a Top Ten hit from September of 1967.

Heard this in my first year at Knoxville College, sang by a couple at a talent show on campus. This is remained with me and in my heart for that heaven sent one. Wonderful memory.

THE LOVE THAT WE ALL HAD IN THOSE DAYS IS STILL HERE. I GREW UP LIVING NEXT DOOR TO, TAMMI, JEAN, ERNIS,AND THE TERRELL FAMILY. I NEVER KNEW HOW BIG THAT FAMILY WAS BECAUSE I WAS A KID. BUT I DO REMEMBER THE NITE WHEN ERNIS TERRELL ,AND ALI, BOX THAT WEEK. I WAS SITTING ON THE TERRELLS FRONT STEPS WHEN ERNIS CAME HOME.HE LOST THE FIGHT. THAT WHOLE FAMILY ,THE TERRELL,S WAS SOME DOWN TO EARTH PEOPLES.

I was really to young to know Tammi Terrell the way that I got to know Marvin Gaye but man, as I watch Tammi sing with Marvin in real time I have simply fallen in love with her. Her talent, beauty
and extremely sexy persona. I am blown away by her senuous style; so femine and yet in charge. Nocaro thank for this lovely song and tribute.

You couldn't find a more perfect couple in music. It's a shame Tami didn't pick Marvin instead of "Satan" David. Marvin being the man he was, stayed out of it, but according to his Bio always truly adored her. I guess God didn't have it in the cards for them. Oh they would have made a perfect couple and little ones. May they all Rest in Peace and sing for all the Angels & God in Heaven. God Bless........
