Islandica - Móðir mín í kví, kví

Antigua canción Islandesa que tiene como trasfondo una historia narrada. Una mujer que lleva a lo espeso del bosque a su hija para dejarla allí y que el bosque se la lleve es sorprendida tiempo después cuando al querer asistir a un baile se da con que no tiene ningún vestido adecuado para la ocasión, es entonces cuando de lo oscuro de la bruma oye la voz de su difunta hija la cual le dice:

The story behind this song is that there was a woman who had a child but didn't want to keep it so she ,,bar það út" which basically mean she left it somewhere outside to die. She had wrapped the baby in a cloth of some sort. Later the mother was going to a ball and didn't know what to wear, and then she hear the voice of the baby sing that song, telling it's mother not to worry and offering her mother the cloth she gave the baby to go dancing in it.
