This is the solution to many problems with using the "Push to Talk" feature on TeamSpeak 2 for Windows Vista users.

Brief Instructions:
1. Run the TeamSpeak 2 EXE as an administrator.

  • It's also works under Win7, thx.

  • I forgot about that, thanks for reminding me. I updated some things on the title of the video, etc.

  • my IP is banned.. idk why.. i asked for voice request and all of a sudden iwas banned..

  • It looks like an administrator or anybody with authority of that that server banned your IP address for some reason. Maybe you weren't supposed to request for voice.

  • Gosh... You're plain blue background is so annoying and plain to look at. CHANGE IT. >=/

  • okay thanks and yea is still on his beta

  • It's hard to say since Windows 7 is currently in it's beta stages.

The best I can advise you to do is to run the program as an administrator or make sure the account you are using on the computer is an administrator.

Otherwise, mess around with the properties of TeamSpeak and see what that gets yous. Also, try running it in compatibility mode for Windows Vista or XP.

  • Hey i have a question im using teamspeak on window 7 and it works perfectly and the push to talk does work, but when im gonna play a game call combat arms with my friends i cant talk to them

  • thankz Alot man!!!!

  • I am not sure about built in mics bu this should work.

    1. Right Click on the volume icon on the bottom right of the screen (To the left of the time).

    2. Click recording devices

    3. Click on the mic you wish to use (should be checked green)

    4. Click Configure and you will find your way from there.

If you happen to be using a MAC this will probably not help you.
