@zarkoff45 It's evidence that this macaca mulatta are self aware. It's also more evidence that self awareness has evolved along a continuum and that the mark test isn't sensitive enough. This video didn't show the mirror being moved for a closer inspection. Add this to pan troglodytes making spears and pan paniscus coordinating hunts while showing compassion towards each other. I read that archaeologists have found evidence suggesting homo heidelbergensis were socially similar to pan paniscus.

But it's not okay to put the monkeys in such tiny cages.
Monkeys should live free in the wild.
