  • It is not a matter of age. When the fronds look yellow or burned from winter and the previous year, its best to cut them back usually in April and May (before the new flush of growth comes in late spring and early summer).

  • how old do wait until u prune ur sago tree ?

  • Not sure what you are asking, but I cut mine back every year to the main trunk late April-May before the new growth begins. Even if the new growth does begin, it does not matter. You can still cut it back. Take the pruning shears, position them right up at the point where the stem meats the trunk and wack it off. Good luck.

  • umm does just minor bend mean cutting off?

  • If the fronds are yellow or damaged, cut them all off in April and May and wait for the new flush of growth to replace it. The 3 videos describe how.

  • when do i trim it? how do i know? i just got a small sago today and i dont know when to trim
