James Kalm sojourns to St. Marks Church, the epicenter of New York's poetry world to record this celebration of the publication of Hannah Weiner's "Open House". Weiner (1928-1997) operated in a unique nexus of the artistic and poetic communities, she was an influential participant in the nescient performance art and L-A-N-G-U-A-G-E poetry movements. Featured in Part 1 are readings by Patrick Durgin, publisher of "Open House", Laura Elrick, Rodrigo Toscano and Kaplan Harris.
This is not poetry, its blatant crap with no useful purpose or use. Durgin comes off a little on the swishy side. A poet he aint.
Find him a job so he can contribute to society not manufacture this crap!

I love what you are doing. Thanks so much for this. If I come out there, could I tag along...?

James, more performance than poetry, but it was fun, I am glad that you're showing more of the arts than just the visual, after that Hirst exhibit, I need to catch my breath. RS
