After Marlin found out he wasn't returning to Ganassi in 2006, Marlin ended up leading the Martinsville race with 40 laps to go. Marlin ended up finishing 6th.

Edit: Jeff Gordon literally came back from 3 laps down (THREE!) to win this race, 3 consecutive lucky dogs early in the race helped him out.

  • @pat02537 Thought he did that in 04?

  • When you see that camera angle that is close to the cars, you can't hear Gordon's engine.

  • i remember when gordon won this race i was like 10 or 11, when he went 3 laps down at like lap 50, my freind said, comon dude he is not gonna win, come play baseball with us. 400 laps latter he is in the lead and wins the race, probably my favriote Jeff gordon win of all time

  • This race was amazing... Jeff you need to win the Cup in 2010... Your bad luck needs to end.. NOW

  • @goldenjimbo007 Can you please post the beginning, of this race? I'm a Ricky Rudd fan. I recall Ricky having a great car that day! Scott Riggs, the #10 car, wound up running into him, taking him out of contention.

  • Ricky Rudd had a Top-2 car, that day! Scott Riggs wound up running into him, taking away any chance he had of winning this race. I remember how angry his CC "Fatback" McSwain was, when he got run into! He wound up slamming his dip-cup down!

  • sterling rules

  • Jeff Gordon 3 laps down by lap 150 made them all up during green 2 and 1 under caution went to the back of the field came back and won the race hell after all that i was hoping he was just maybe get a top10 never thought he was gonna win the race proved me wrong again thats why i dont doubt him anymore after 2005 ill never doubt him again even though ive been a fan since 95 or 96!

  • That Race Reminded Me Of Bill Elliott At Talladega In 1987, But Alot Of Cautions Came Out in That Race!!!!!
