USN1985,
I would consider myself an outspoken atheist and a militant Skeptic.

You know if you wanna count the atheist war totals to religious ones, I think the side where there is no religion in the war would have a higher death tool. Hitler said if there were no jews i would find someone else to blame. Your correct Hitler did not kill for religious purposes.

Hey man I'm a believer but the man is right on certain points, the law states separation, so separation should be made in America. Its not what I want, specifically to remove religion from the government, but as the savior said and I think atheist will agree with me, "give on to god what is god and give to Caesar what is Caesars." In other words let the law of the country rule and let the faith rule you. the US says that their will be separation so as a good Christian I will respect them.

@imrational

Well, although I have differing opinions, I can respect that you seem to be reasonable. However, it is 1 AM on my side of the country, so good night, and God bless us all.

USN1985,
Hitler supposedly killed the jews because of Divine Right, i.e. it was God's will. He could have done it for other reasons, but Divine Right was the reason he publicly gave.

Yes, people would be killing people even without religion, but hopefully we can stop people from killing for irrational/insane reasons.

USN1985,
When evolution is being taught, it is being taught in a SCIENCE class. The problem is that intelligent design is NOT a testable scientific theory. It is not even a hypothesis. i.e. ID is NOT science.

Teaching evolution does not automatically mean that a religion is wrong. That's just your take on it. Perhaps our perceived reality is an illusion and your religion is true. That is outside of a science class and belongs in a philosophy or religion class.

USN1985,
I'm an advocate on diversity of thought. I'm not offended by someone having personal beliefs. I'm outraged when people push their beliefs onto me and mine.

@imrational

And now, look over YouTube and ask yourselves, why are we the most mistrusted?

Furthermore, we only restricted stem cell research on aborted fetuses, and the umbilical cells were useless for research anyway, so try getting your facts straight.

@imrational And people would be killing others even if there was no religion. Hitler did not kill the Jews because God told him to, he did it because he hated them and used them as a scape goat. Most murders do not occur because of religion, they occur because of greed, lust, revenge, etc...

And those that do use religion as their reasons are rarely ever acting in accordance with their religous teachings. Essentially, a militant atheist could just as easily blow up a church.
