@iawoodsman yeah for sure, i've used candles in a dome tent before,(while ventilating of course,) in weather a bit lower than freezing, and had good enough results warming it up, so figured it might would work with this. i dont get as much snow here, but got loads of wood and leaves. cheers! :)

But, would you suffocate in there- cus of the plastic bag- i'm just wondering- or are there breathing holes or something- I plan on building my shelter exactly like this one for the winter months here in south dakotah- again- so good :) I love all your videos!

You are so good- You are an inspiration to me
What would be a good type of pad to lay on the bottom to keep a little warmer. Or would laying down a whole bunch of branches work better?

@paracordjunky The more insulation underneath you the better.

would a candle be sufficient to warm up this shelter without melting the snow? and if so would i have to worry too much about circulation? thanks :)

@ChemicalMikeUK Yep, but you have to be very careful with an open flame in a shelter like this.

I have allways liked this method over digging out a quinzie, although I do like the warmth of fire in a shelter. Any ideas how this could be incorperated?

If you are useing snow for an insulate you can build one fire in it, then it melts all over you.( that was a joke) Unfortunately there is no way I know to incorporate a fire with a snow shelter.
