  • Does that many panels allow you to be completely off the the grid??? Just wondering im new to the whole solar thing

  • It all depends on your electric usage. We have had customers completely eliminate their bill with a small 3kW system. At the other end of the spectrum, we have customers that installed almost 14kW and it only touches about half of their bill. Energy efficiency and conservation is where to begin.

  • lazy workers, sat around on a roof all day... Should take 2 days for 2-3 people to install that lot inc Electrician.

  • @tubeseek41 Well that's the price they pay for being an early adopter. Though how long it takes really depends on energy consumption, energy generation, how much you get for surplus, since by law in most US states the power company has to buy the energy for a premium, which they gladly do since it's cheaper for them in the end, and also maintenance. Solar panels have been dropping in price rather fast, though reasonable cost vs performance is still several years away.

  • @MrPhotodoc Hopefully they used a sealant with those bolts.

  • @MrPhotodoc I decided against putting mine of the roof for that very reason. This is a really nice over haul of barn I wish I had a solar system like this.

  • This system probably cost 30 000 $ .... takes 3 centuries to have a rentability ...LOL ! It's a joke ! Great construction !

  • I'll bet the roof leaks... 0:38
