@triberofvengeance grub is on the MBR, the entire drive isn't really wiped, just the ubuntu files...

A thing I don't understand is HOW did the bootloader not get wiped out if the entire drive (and all it's unlocked contents) were wiped, how does it still recognize GRUB (the bootloader)? interesting to me.
