Brilliant Macca.
Love stuff like this and Secret Friend and Back To The Egg and Don't Let It Bring You Down and McCartney II...
I love the whackier stuff.

I will get slammed for saying this, but the first time I heard this (when the Wing record was new), I thought this was Golden Earring. Piano-heavy, literate drumming and bass playing, a slight proggy feel, somewhat hysterical vocals... no, McCartney and fellow Londoners completely fooled me. Great tune. Some wag at CREEM Magazine (anybody remember them?) called this a 'six-minute disaster movie.' A good one, too.

To think one "renowned" critic called this one of the worst rock songs. Allegedly, he thought the lyrics were ridiculous. Whatever! The music and singing is terrific you pathetic MUSIC critic! Great song!

1978. I thought Paul Mc Cartney would retry his 1985 on Band of the run, but I was surely listening to this long song at the end of the elpee back then, in all times of everywhere Disco :(....The Wings were surely different of the Beatles and with a great intervention of Denny Lain. At these times I was already used to listen to Barclay James Harvest ;-) Great to hear this anyway at high volume! What must my patterns said back then and also the neighbours then....Thank you ***
