No you are wrong, The M-16A2 is a three shot burst rifle. The M-16A1 is full auto. The M-4 Carbine can be issued in either full auto or 3 round busrt. Don't call people a dumbass when you do not know what you are talking about.

-

-
@zack9912000 not necessarily...
-
@scheming8rythem Wish my country is like yours.
-
Wtf why don't you put 3 round burst in the title if that's how you use it?
-
@zack9912000 The Army uses M4s mainly for combat zones, e.g. Afghanistan, Iraq. There are currently 1.5 million active military personnel and 1.45 million Reserve Personnel within 300 million Americans.. The main purpose of this statement is to point out that not all combat teams are currently overseas, which also deducts the amount of soldiers required for the use of an M4. The M16A2 is used for training purposes, and the military is currently buying a large supply of M4A1s.

you take so bad the m4 men
-
Yes, thank you! It's called trigger control. I can't believe all the comments about my fire arm demonstration on how to use ammunition consumption and trigger control for rifle controllability while using an automatic weapon and small arms handling.
-
@StretchMaK M4 = 3 burst , M4A1=full auto
-
@spence1478 you can modify and make better weapons as a free united states citizen, guns are legal in our country its part of our rights.

You could have held the magwell vertically..herp derp.

@Nick718BkLyN You seem too, you keep coming back to put your two cents in to comments "no one cares about have a great night.

@IamaRifle A more likely scenario would see 500,000 purchased for infantry brigade combat teams,and the existing and improved M4s given to support troops to replace their M16s. A new weapon could be selected by the end of 2011. How long it would take to field a new weapon would depend on funding. Fielding could start fairly quickly, but will take up to 10 years, Tamilio said. NO NEW WEAPON HAS BEEN CHOICE YET. The funding is quickly being pulled and most units will be lucky to see it by 2020
-
@IamaRifle What you forgot to mention is The Army would like to convert about 150,000 in the near term for infantry brigade combat teams The optimal plan would be to convert all the M4s, he added, but funding will be a large factor in that decision How the dual-path strategy unfolds remains to be seen,That’s because there are 1.1 million soldiers,but only 500,000 M4s in the system.

@Nick718BkLyN The only thing that could have possible been considered an insults was showing you have none if any experience in the subject matter and I never called you any thing, "like moron or little kid". Just stated video games are not experience what so ever. For a person calling me a hypocrite and yet your the one calling me a moron and a little kid. Yet you say for my to get a life, well I am sure my life experiences would spank the pants off anything you have or will do in your life.

@zack9912000 The military is going back to the full auto capability in the M4's. Colt has been making their last 12,000 M4s in their contract to the army in the M4A1 configuration (INCLUDING A HEAVIER BARREL). In addition the Army is converting 65,000 of their existing M4s to the M4A1 configuration. The priority of those weapons according to Lt. Col. Chris Lehner (the PM for individual weapons) is to BCTs and SF units. Get with the current military, not what the military channel taught you.

@IamaRifle To prove my point your dedicated gun team whos job is to put a heavily volume of fire on a target with it being a M240B or a M249(saw) have a heavy barrel but the teams carry 2 to three spares. And depending on the rate of fire will change them out at 500 to 750 Rounds per Minuet so they don't damage the barrel. Everyone has a job to do in a squad fire team, your m4's are not used in the manner that so many people think they do because of COD or Hollywood nonsense.
-
@IamaRifle It does not work that way, the reason the US military uses a "cut down" profile barrel on their M4's is so they can have a high fire rate, yet it allows the barrel to dissipate the heat efficiently so it can continue the high rate of fire with limiting the chance of destroying the barrel. If you have a heavy barrel you can have a much higher rate of fire, the barrel can take that abuse longer, but the downside it take much longer to cool and the risk of damage becomes a real issue.

@Nick718BkLyN Heads up for future reference, no one will take any person serous period when you start tossing around insults. As for my comments, it fits those who do such stupidity because they have zero clue in what they are doing. Also this is not COD; reality is you only have at best ten 30 round magazines on your person in combat & you would be out in a matter of a few mines at best. This is coming from a 13 year combat vet with 4 tours. What is your experience, from your statements..NONE
-
@zack9912000 Only if you have a pussy ass m4 profile barrel. If you aren't planning on slapping a m203 on your AR go with the full thickness.
In the end, I am the one behind the rifle ...
