  • It can be dangerous but in this case it isnt, the gpu doesnt get abot 70C which is ok for the gt 540m .

But you dont have to do this step , the other helping more.

  • Will be difficult ,

but it should be playable on low setting s with a resolution of 320*32

  • @Peetze what brand r u using?? same problem here...how old ur laptop?? u need to clean ur fan, and reapply thermal paste..i already send my notebook to the service centre since my notebook still have warranty

  • i when i over clock my gt540m 2GB aver 820Mhz

an nvidea error set all on default.

(i have the lastets WHQL driver oder the tempareture i max 83°)

  • Hi, my GPU temps are around 90°C by low graphic details and bad fps from 30 down to 15 in gunaction using the gt540m. I cleaned the fan.

So what to do ? Laptop return to factory ? Coolpad ?

    THX for help.

  • This is helpful, but I will not overclock anything, especially NOT like that, if you increase those sliders just like that to the max it has high chances of causing big issues, I suggest to all you guys increasing the sliders by a bit, then checking your performance, along with your PC's temperature, if it's fine, increase it more until what you have is good for you.
