ur right mate but as demand for more and more airtravel increases in the next couple decades progress in manufacturing and avionics will be made thus the number of these will increase because of their capacity. Just like the 747 when it first came out, it takes years until its capabilities are absolutely needed, so this basically is a creation of a contract for the future

In this segment we see why the A380 will be a catastrophe for Airbus - it takes too long to make and there is no margin for error. Boeing can turn out a 747-400 at the rate of 8 a month - 4 months for 1 plane. The modular 747-8 will be even easier to build. Boeing's vast experience will tell in the end. It's not just aerodynamics and design - it's also systems integration.
